mandeville residence | living room:
Tom Freeman had given this amazing wall art to his wife Wendy for her 40th birthday, so it was very important to give it a proper place to be seen. The art became the focal point of the room. The red wall was the perfect backdrop for the piece, creating a gallery-like living room.
mandeville residence | dining room:
The dining room echoes the contemporary gallery in the living room, but here we put a similar sculpture, by the same artist, against a yellow wall. In the entry we painted the wall blue. The primary colors added a whimsy to the contemporary artistic space.
mandeville residence | media room:
Originally the media room was an outside patio, enclosed by the previous owners. The ceiling was so low, we could almost not stand in there. The room was never used,so I suggested that we re-build it, raise the ceiling, put in a skylight, open the windows to French doors and create where they could watch movies or TV.
Behind one of the cabinets we built in a sliding CD storage pantry for their extensive CD collection. All they had to do was to pull it out from the wall like a pocket door.

Mandeville Residence
Mandeville Canyon Residence
Mandeville Canyon is where the ranch house was born. Wendy wanted a contemporary house. That became our challenge. How do we transform one style for another without forfeiting the original architecture? We decided the best way to make changes was in use of color and furnishings. Wendy and her husband Tom, were collectors of unique modern art, which hung all over the place.
